Stumpy sliding dropouts
I'm curious about the long term reliability of the 2009 stumpy marathon vertical sliding dropouts. The bike itself has gotten good reviews, but I haven't seen commentary on the dropouts. It looks like they weren't around long, and I am wondering if there is a reason, other than adding a little weight.

i have been using these dropouts since 08 and have had to replaced the bolts this year due to them rounding out after three years of service. I have the bike setup single speed and these dropouts work great. I change gears frequently depending on the course. Due to the high torque spec specialized advises the bolts just finally rounded out.

Thanks, abarton. Maybe replacing them with some steel or ti might be the way to go. Or would that be too much for the dropout?
