    Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc 29

So I'm looking to get back into mountain biking but first I need a bike. I have been looking at this:

    Specialized Bicycle Components

Any thoughts? I'm 6'4" 90 and am mainly looking to just ride single track trails with the buds. I know I'm not interested in upgrading anything until something breaks. Just wondering what this bike's strengths/weaknesses are. Thanks!

In the recreational segment for a reason--
Good frame-- the main weakness is the Suntour fork. No adjustable rebound and internal metal bushings which are not designed for bumps and speed at the same time. Next is the wheels- heavy and then the brakes. For trail riding the fork is the most important component.
Suntour has an upgrade program for an air fork. There is a thread on it.
People give up riding and sell these bikes with little time on them. If you find a used one a fork upgrade can make it a different bike. A light front wheel and tire would also help.
