    Snow Biking Pics

This weekend Bearbait (Eric) and I did a great 29er snow ride. Pictures are posted on the Alaska Board at:

    http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=71197

If the link can't take you there go to the Alaska board and check out the thread "RIde the rivers" posted by Bill M.

I was on my B-29 and Eric was on his SS Karate Monkey.

So was that road tracked out by cars or snomobiles? I wonder if I could go looking for snow mobile tracks to ride around tahoe...

None of the pictures are on a road those are all snowmobile trials. The snowmobiles really pack the trail nicely. Most of these trails are over frozen swamps and rivers and do not exist in the summer so it is really cool to get into this country.

No tent but I did have a bivy sack. It was cold out but warm in the bag/bivy combination. The bivy just pulled down and can't be seen in the picture. The pic is pre coffee which I am brewing up as the pic was snapped. I wasn't getting out of that bag until I was ready to hop on the bike and ride away.

    Tahoe

Hey, I was just in Tahoe. I rode my Sike (www.bikesonsnow.com) on the lifts at Northstar. It may take a while for the snowmobiles to pack down the 12 feet of new snow. Once they do though, check out the trails starting at the meadow near the top of the road to Mt. Rose.

Snowmobile trails here in Vermont are a great time and with 6000 miles of them you can go anywhere you want. Now all we need is this damn rain to change to snow
