    Schwalbe tires available at BTI.

BTI has stock of the Schwalbe Little Albert if that's of interest to any of you.

They do seem extremely expensive for what appears to be a pretty lack-luster tire but hey, it's another tire!

If you're interested your LBS should be able to hook it up!

I tried putting one on the rear but the bead wouldn't seat with Stans Notubes. We stopped trying when the air compressor started to smell like it was going to burn up.

    Hey Pat!

When did you get a 29er? Have I seen it?

Oh, it's Brian with the strong, BTW:-)

    Hey Brian,

No, I haven't gotten one yet. I was just replacing an old tire on my 26er. Hopefully later this year I'll get a KM.

you didn't read Walts assessment of the tire did you. He tried stan's and it failed miserably. Something about the rasied edges on the bead that are supposed to keep the tire from rotating on the rim. At least you didn't blow the bead and whine about it, then we'da had to call you an idiot for trying Stans on non-standardized parts.
    Just a regular guy.

I like the 26" Little Alberts alot. It actually corners better as a front tire than a rear.

The jimmy and all of the James Gang totally rule. I have the King Jim 2.35" Soft compound as a front on my 4cross bike. Endless grip, really fat, and 596g.

Now on my way to the Schwalbe website, Donkey says there's a 28x2.0 Marathon?

    tires/tubes deal

if you ebay, this seller (not me) has had these up for quite some time - Little Al's w/ 140g tubes for $100. After reading Walts review, I'm not interested.

Do not see the big Marathon but why bother when you can get the 28x2.0 and 28x2.35 Big Apple?

Marathon XR is the tire, it's on there somewhere. First tire I clicked on.
Marathons have some tread, and could handle much more offroad than a Big Apple I'm sure. My mom has a similar 47c on her citybike. Got them for her because sometimes our streets get slippery. Also, on seashell gravel, a bit of bite and cush is welcome. In 47c just over 40mm I'd say.
