    Salsa Gordo Rim...

    Hi!
I just wondered why nobody is talking about the 35mm wide Salsa Gordo rim which ist being announced for spring 2008. Or has there already been a discussion about that rim which i may have missed in the past?
Has anydody seen a prototype of it or has anybody information about it concerning how it really will be aviable in shops and such things?

    I've seen it

I've seen the rim and I know it is currently being tested in prototype form. The rim along with the 30mm wide Semi will be out in February sometime.

I saw a prototype of it on a certain Mr Jones's bike at SSWC 07 in Sotland.

    Very nice it looks too.

Sounds cool! So i guess we can just hope that it won't be too expensive =)
But one more Question about its massive width of 35mm: It's the outer width, isn't it?

Yes, it is the outside width.

Salsa had US retail prices posted at interbike but I can not remember them.

I've not been talking about one, because then I'll have to admit that I want one, but can't get one and there's been enough pain in the working world to have more in the bike world.

I thought they were going to be something ridiculous like $120. I don't really care then. If I really want a rim of that width, I'll wait for Kris Holm to come out with his 34mm rim that's a bit lighter than the 38mm he has now.
