    Retrotec for the wife

The new ride for the wife will meet us in Stockholm. Kera (my wife) received pics from Curtis a couple of days ago. Figured that I'd better share them.

She's the one that fell in love with the Classic. I made the first call to Curtis and spec'd the bike. The rest, phone calls, emails, etc. were all done by my wife. She's going to have a beautiful bike to show for it as well.

Thanks! Oddly enough, I didn't even know what color she chose until a couple of days ago. The Burnt Orange color that he used is really cool. ...And yes, the Classic is a beautiful frame. She's really looking forward to the first ride.

Awesome bike, Mike! I'm hoping though that that top-tube won't be too high for her on standover. Good luck in Stockholm representing.

Awesome bike! Looks great. I'm digging the one-grip thing you have going on. Is that a Euro-thing? ;-)

That one grip thing... well, it equates to one pant leg rolled up and the belt line riding about below ass level.

Actually... not sure what's up with that. Curious!

    Sweet!

My Retrotec frame should be coming up soon on the list, this orange is my choice for paint.

BTW, do you know the frame geometry info? Just curious what size the frame is.
I'd rather be riding my bike...

How'd you let her get a geared bike Mike?!? Clear to see who wears the pants in your outfit.

Pretty danged sharp. Hope she gets to dirty it up soon.

    my wife...

rides the 26" equivalent of that, and she would not trade it for the world. great choice, Curtis is awesome to deal with. Wife has a Classic, I have a Half and an Inglis and have been SUPER happy with the build quality and the ride quality. Enjoy!

She's only ridden it around Stockholm for a bit. In spite of that, she loves it! The seat height is quite a bit different, in that it's about 2"-3" taller but I'm guessing it'd be in the neighborhood of an 18" frame. It's custom, but my wife is about 5'-10".

Frankly, it's actually a lot prettier in person. The Orange, is very, very red in certain light. I'm not really sure what color it's supposed to be, but it's sure pretty. All that and it's just a really well made frame. Curtis, his wife and all their buddies were really great to meet in Stockholm. The whole group of them were loads of fun.
