    Retard Rim
I just bought my Inbred and it came with Retard rims.
Does anyone have any suggestions or comments about them?
I just installed some Avid disc brakes and noticed there are no eyelets, should I be worried?
Are these rims work putting good geared hubs on, or should I just get a whole new wheel?

Ride them until they fail. Then worry about what to replace them with.

Sorry Shiggy, I should've mentioned. I am having some knee issues some my 29r will be a geared bike, that is why I am thinking about changing up, the Inbred comes as a SS.
I was just wondering if it was worth spending the extra $60-100 on new rims while I was at it.
Otherwise I am with you, ride it until it breaks, then fix.

I've ridden Retard rims on an Il Pompino on the road for a good long while with no issues but if you're going to build up new wheels I would go for eyelets. I personally like DT TK7.1 or the cheaper Mavic A719. Both excellent rims.

Another option - assuming it is a "short-stack" singlespeed cassette hub - is to break apart a cassette, and mix and match your three or four favorite cogs. Adjust your derailleur to compensate so it doesn't go into your spokes, and tada! If it doesn't work for you and you feel you need all nine cogs, then spend the ducats for a new hub.

A sample below of what I mean (Jones working on Aqua's multi-speed Chris King singlespeed-hubbed wheel.)

That is pretty interesting drevil, I thought about that, but on a regular hub not on a SS.
