Reba RL vs Reba RLT Ti (X-Post from Niner Forum)

I was looking at the Rip/Reba sale at Big Kahuna Bicycles (http://bigkahunabicycles.com/product...-deal-1347.htm) and noticed that fork they selling with the RIP is "2011 RockShox Reba RL 120mm travel 20mm thru-Axle Tapered fork that is convertible to 140mm".

Just wondering what the difference is between this fork and the Reba RLT Ti that seems to be for sale at most other stores.

About $3-400 retail for the fork depending on store.

The Reba RL does not have the Ti Black Box MoCo damper. The RL uses a tooled Floodgate MoCo damper. See SRAM : http://www.sram.com/rockshox/category/103

Side by Side....which i had the unique opportunity of building a Niner Jet9 w/ a Motobecane Doner for a friend. I currently have a Team Issue, and his came with the RL. I didn't notice that much difference except that the my Team was a bit more smoother.

Like Keen said, there is a Black Box difference which has to do with Titanium, by my understanding is the spring tube..and probably some other small internals that are higher quality.

Performance-wise on the trail the RL was fantastic, but the Team felt just a bit smoother.

I recall reading that the one of the biggest differences was the more sophisticated rebound damper in the Black Box unit. Reviews seem to think that it is worth the price.

BB rebound damper comes in both the RL and RLT 140mm forks.
