    quick question

I am just looking to throw an inexpensive slick on my rear 29er wheel for use on a trainer. Am I good to just order any cheep 700c road tire? Please be kind, I know its a rookie question.

Really you just need to worry about the width. Most 700c tires aren't wide enough for your rims and you'll end up looking for a hybrid tire. Remember to get a much smaller tube also.

Just go to your LBS and see what they have in the bargain bin.

Get the cheapest 700x32 or larger touring tire you can find.
