I loved Hambone's color so much that I'm going with a similar burnt orange....I hope that's not blasphemy. I can't imagine going with anything else.

Are they going to tape off the headset or are you going for chromatic color?

What you're seeing are either headtube reinforcing rings brazed on (it looks like the top one is brazed) or machined into the headtube.

The frame was built for 8 inch rotors, front and rear.

I believe on paper it's about 19 months but in reality I'd expect it to be a bit longer. Fred is a perfectionist and therefor takes his time during every step of the process. Just visit his website and take a look at his work space...it's unbelievably tidy. I was very lucky in the fact that I bought this frame slightly used and the guy was the same size as me. Fred was kind enough to build me a matching rigid fork and also added the seat tube upgrade reinforcement. I sent the frame to Keith Anderson to be stripped and he sent it over to Fred so he could do the mock up. It's on it's way back to Keith now.

I really can't say enough about Fred, his knowledge, and his skills as a frame builder.
