    Niner Sir9 BB shell

Since the new frames come with the EBB, should I plug the single hole in the BB shell? Somehow it doesn't seem right leaving it exposed.

??You have an older Sir frame with a new EBB??

A little silicone in the screw holes wouldn't be unreasonable.

No, it's a new one -- solid gold at any rate -- and it has one single screw hole in the middle of the bottom of the shell. I don't get it.

That hole is for the screw that holds on the plastic cable guide if you wanna' run the SIR9 with gears. I suppose you could just put the screw in; I just toss a little piece of electrical tape over it. I'd silicone it, but I run my SIR9 as a 1x9 in the winter.
