It's a karate monkey fork, brake bosses craftily removed, re-powdercoated metallic grey.

I like the look of the grey on ti....very quiet.

    The stem is a Willit's a'la Mikesee...thanks again Mike.

Beautiful bike, can't wait to see it on the trail...

Are my eye's fooling me or Are you running your Derailleur cables under the downtube (ala road bike style)?

    Wow!

Geesh. That looks pretty. I think next trip to visit my bro at USC I'm going to have to 'forget' my KM so I can borrow your loaner....Strong Ti or Mooto....man you're set. But I highly doubt one of those would be a loaner, didn't you keep ONE of your KMs for that duty?

I would definitely loan out eiter of them, as long as I'm along for the ride;-)

I did keep one of the monkeys for loaning and what not.....I actually cleaned out the garage recently...I'm down to 3 mountain bikes, which is an all time low!

    Thanks for the good words.

I like the Snoop-Dog seatpost. Do you have to shim it with alu or something so it doesn't bind?

    You know, it's funny.

For years, there was a curse that went along with ordering a new surfboard for my friends and I.
Order another custom board, wait a month or two...pick it up..bring it home...and voila...NO WAVES for weeks!

It seems the curse has transfered to mtb as your Moots and (hopefully) my Lenz arrive mid-downpour. Oh, well. At least it's pretty to look at!

Hmmm....not sure how you can tell anything about mud clearance from the angles that I've given you.....but rest easy, it has plenty. I'm not gonna bust out a measuring tape and measure, but it will easily fit 2.3 or soo when they're available.

As for the off road comment...very cute:-) It'll see at least 60 on sunday, most of it dirt.

    Thanks for the helpful words.

True, it'll likely be a bit muddy:-)

The plan is leave mi casa, ride to b-star, down motorway, up maple, down harding, up over glen ranch, home via irvine blvd:-)

Speaking of interesting conditions....rode harding to 4 corners last night....fair amount of snow for the last few miles and freeezing temps. Great time, you'll have to join us for the next one!

Brrrr. 2 Luge loops for me last night. About (or under) 40 degrees. My toes just thawed out. Good luck Sunday! Btw, who are you dragging along with you?

    Should be interesting...especially considering....

Uh, no. I's gots no geered bique. (i'm hoping bulC reads this post, to help me w/ my grammar/spelling)

I don't think the Bullit would be the bike of choice for that ride. Here's hoping the Lenz shows up soon!

didnt mean anything about the offroad comment.I guess the fork threw me.Ive had alot of hassles with mud clearance on my fisher....it does`nt exist so look for it on other bikes.
I did a 24hr race and the wheel kept locking, even Nat ross had a stick to clear his chainstays.Mud in the uk can be an issue if you ride regardless of weather.
wisdom behind the fork? Looks like you might be going for a really lite build.
