Over on the right just below the Forum Jump dropdown box change your display mode to Linear while viewing this thread. I'm guessing you're on hybrid which doesn't play nice with longer threads.

worked, Thanks. Lets change this then to a demand for a MonsterCross board. Obviously there's enough traffic to warrant it. Especailly if we have a cargo bike section[not that there's anything wrong with that].

Hybrid and threaded mode have the issue.

In the meantime, start new threads rather than just adding to the huge one. Easier to read and comment on the new content.

I am guessing by summer there will be tonsof MosterCross threads
and by next year there will be an entire MonsterCross sub-forum

I would love that forum but the definition of monstercross is so vague. That thread is filled with 29er frames that have drop bars with 2.3 tires. If the title of the sub-forum was something like:

    Monstercross
    29x2.1 or smaller
Mr. Krabs: Is it true, Squidward? Is it hilarious?

No more vague than "all mountain."

Point taken. I think a better option is to bring the cyclocross forum here instead of "outsourcing" to roadbikereview.com as I do not plan on registering there being not much of a roadie anyways.

Feel free to post one of these MX bikes over on the CX forum and see what happens. Anything over 32c and a double is a mountain bike in their eyes.
Zip ties? Not on my bike!

    Want:
    650B rims or wheel set. 80's vintage 32 or 36 x 135mm

True. Cyclocross/'cross racing is far from monster cross (though I really do not like the label monster cross).

I've lurked a bit on the CX forum and its really more about the racing and the training and that sort of thing. Some them seem to have great disdain for people who ride CX bikes for commuting or urban riding or trail riding or anything that's not a race. Similarly they don't much care for CX bikes that are more intended for utility riding than purebred racing - steel frames, eyelets for fenders, that sort of thing. Not everybody. But that seems to be the general sentiment of the forum. So its definitely the WRONG place for MX.

Maybe a forum or sub-forum for MX would be good. But what is there really to discuss? I mean, mostly all the threads I've seen are showing pictures and commenting on said pictures. And don't get me wrong - there's some great MX bike porn here! But MX doesn't involve any distinctive type of riding or special skills, does it? Are we going to debate what's the best bike for MX? Isn't the point of MX that its not the best at anything? Its just fun. Its fun to build the bike up. Its fun to look at. Its fun to ride and explore its limitations (or lack there of). But I don't know if that's enough grist for a whole new thread.

That's probably more to do with the site it comes from. Since this is a mountain bike forum I would say more people would be accepting vs the road bike forum.
