    Litespeed Pinhoti SL

I've been riding my Teillico for as long as I can remember.....time for something new.

Waiting on a set of the new Rolf carbon wheels to finish the build.

    I'll update as parts arrive.

Finally got it together. I had no idea what a positive difference the 29" wheel would make. Absolutely amazing ride.

WoW, really nice build. If I may ask what is the size of the frame.
How's the ride, can you give a short review especially on the trail ride.

    Thanks.

    Large. I am 6'4".

The ride is amazing compared to my old 26" Tellico. I was a bit concered it would not handle as quickly as I would like but no problem....very nimble. The single track in Southern California that I ride is not super tight so the steering is plenty fast. Climbs very well with the shock locked and I can descend with another higher level of convidence compared to the 26". The tires roll over obstacles like I can't believe.

I loaned my Tellico to my buddy on our last ride who just sold his full suspension LS and we swapped bikes midway through the ride. Hard to explain but the Tellico felt like a frame three sizes to small when I got back on it and the Pin felt more like a bike one size to big. Until I started to ride the Pin after we swapped back....who ever said "in the bike not on the bike" hit the nail right on the head. I will never go back to a 26"

The XX1 drivetrain works flawlessly, albeit a bit clicky compared to XTR. Sram just seems a bit less polished.

XTR M9000 Race brakes: Took a bit of work to bleed the lines and get the feeling right but once I had them setup they do exactly what they are supposed to do....with ease.

    Syncros cockpit...as always, carbon perfection.

RockShox SID RCT3 Solo Air 120 Maxle Lite15: In concert with the frame? Very much so!

Rolf Alsea wheelset: Rolf said it best, "light and wicked strong." I have about 500 miles of baby heads, death cookies and beat up fire roads on them and so far so good. Zero issues.

Stan's: not one flat. I run about 25-30psi.

For almost 20 years the Tellico delivered joy, pain, love and some unforgettable views with some of the best people I have met in my life. With the new titanium 29" wonder?...... I expect nothing less!

    HTH, Karl

OP - still own this bike? What is the verdict, three years later?
