    Lenz Info

    Can one of you guys with a large Lenz tell me how long the head tube is? I just ordered a WB BW 0.8 (sweet deal ) to use on my KM, but I'm thinking about a Lenz or one of the other new FS coming out this spring and I want to swap it over. The HT length on a Asylum is 4.0" and the monkey is 3.7" so that's not a problem, but if I run into a 5"+ HT it won't work unless I use a ton of spacers now. Ideas?

    thanks

    That's the XL size!

    L = 4.5" if it makes a difference. (?)

    That does work alot better, less spacers. I don't like the look with a bunch of spacers. Thanks.

    A couple things:

    1) if you have to run a lot of spacers but don't like the look, place a few of them under the stem, and a couple above..you can suck up a lot of extra steerer tube without it lookin' that bad at all....also there are places to get really cha-chingish spacers, like Seven Ti spacers..

    2) WB will press a new steerer into an existing fork for a song and a dance.

    If would be nice if there were headset lower cups with some 15mm extra height built-in. Might not attract too much attention. I've been thinking about headtube extenders, also for geometry reasons, but that never materialized so far.
    One guy (Bram on here) I know once ran spacers UNDER his headtube to lengthen a cross fork for 29" use, and got it to work with an extra headset race of some sorts. That was intergrated ahead, though.

    Well, I guess what I'll do is just have the WB cut about the same length as I have the KM fork now (using about 25mm spacers, which is more than I like but for some reason I'm always thinking about the future). If the WB won't work on the FS frame I end up getting I'll just get another WB. I don't know what they charge to press in a new tube and add shipping both ways, but I can get a new WB for $480.

    thanks guys,
    cruz
