    Kona Process 153 AL/DL 2018

Hi there, considering buying this bike and wondering if anyone has any good things to say about them or if there is any alternatives that would be better for similar price 2000-2500. I am currently on a kona precept 2015 and find its a bit small for what I want to use it for (enduro/ light downhill stuff).

dont know if it would be better but yt capra 29 and nukeproof mega 29 are two very good and similar bikes you can get in that price range.

I will have a look at those thank you! I do like Kona as a brand however if I can get more for the money I would consider other brands. I also heard the 153 29 is pretty heavy. My current bike is 14.8kg and I can get it pretty quick but 27.5.

Lots of posts/threads in the Kona section on 2018 153's (29 and 27.5, carbon and alu). I went with 27.5 AL/DL model and have about 1500 miles on it. I'm a clyde and it's an XL so it's a big-assed bike and it's built like a tank (I've broken a few frames so that's important to me). Despite it's heft it really climbs well and is super fun all-rounder. My terrain is tight/technical NE singletrack and I'm very happy with the 27.5. If there was more high speed flowy terrain around here I would have gone with 29er.

6'4" and 220lbs geared up. Always wanted to go to Scotland...Years ago I was scheduled for a job in North Sea (Merchant Marine) and had flight booked for Edinburgh. But plans changed last minute and I went to Texas instead.

I think large would suit me well then. My cousin has a 2016 Large DL and it fits nice. Scotland has some nice riding. Innerliethen and Glentress are great trail centers. I have came from a biketrial background so all this full sus stuff is all new to me!
