    Jonesing to Upgrade

I have had my Monocog 29er for since maybe 2005 (whenever the first green color ones came out) and I think it's time for something new. I always thought I would be a no suspension guy forever but my 45 year old body is not digging the rigid jarring lately.

I have been keeping my eyes on the Niner One Nine (the scandium model) and Spot Brand bikes. I am always fixated on the belt drive technology and wonder if i really need to base my decision purely on that notion. I don't see my self spending more than about $1500-1700.

I guess I am asking if it's worth it to keep searching for a Spot Belt Drive or broaden my horizons? I am pretty sure I would like a front shock unless carbon fiber forks are somewhat magical.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Possibly more choices for you to consider...
