    Image of a Rig??

Is this a Rig in this image? Was looking at an article on www.cyclingnews.com about the Discovery Team bikes, and thought I found an image of the Rig frameset in the back round.

With the carbon rear end, my guess is that it's a Big Sur 26er

    Really?

It looks to be a regular dropout, non-eccentric BB frame, I was under the impression that the rigs were singles, and not seeing any provisions for such, would be suspicious. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If that was a 29er, the axle to brake bridge length would be longer than the 700C road bike it's hanging next to. Looks like a 26er to me also.

No BB Yoke like the old Fisher 29er, or don't the new gearies have that either?

What about the Fisher Frame in the backround?

There is a yellow/red one. What is it?

I didn't notice the carbon stays, plus the LOA was similar to the carbon frames, so I thought it might be a rig. The BB looked really wide, so I thought maybe the EBB was being affected by the angle of the lense.

If you look at the distance from the dropout to the s/s bridge - it looks 29ish to me. The lack of a c/s bridge and the fact the tire clearance area on the c/s is pretty far forward also looks 29ish.

Remember, this is Trek who is a manufacturer. I'm sure they've got a lot of unique things that never make it to production. Looks like a geared 29" frame w/ carbon s/s to me.

That's a 2004 Fisher Supercaliber. Only available as a frame.

    the damn..

BB looks wide because it has some sort of BB thread saving plug or "masker" threaded into it, just look at the other two frames. some sort of masking device to keep the paint out of the BB threads.

still looks like a geared fisher with a der hanger, yippee.

The red/yellow one in the background looks like last year's Supercal 29 that was available as a frame only.

It's a 26" Fisher AC/DC frame painted in the plum color.
