    I9 Enduro S 29er

I am buying some Industry 9 Enduro S wheelsleets. Internal width = 30.5mm/Outer Width = 34.1 mm. Website says these are rated for 2.3" - 2.8" tire sizes. They obviously don't make 2.8" 29er tires, so will this wheelset be sufficient for 29er 3.0. Let's say WTB Ranger 3.0s?

You can run them, but you'll have to use higher pressure than if you use a wider rim. Cuts somewhat the value of the wider tire's potentially larger footprint for traction.

Ibis 942's might be better for you

I am trying to stay under 1K for pricing. I did look into your Ibis recommendation and saw that they have an aluminum wheel set that 38 mm OW/ 34 mm IW. The 942s have an IW of 35 mm. With that difference being 1 mm (hopefully negligible) would the Ibis 938 be ok to run 3.0s on?
