I honestly REALLY didn't like the way the bike handles.
I understand some people might like the bike, it certainly wasn't something I would spend any amount of cash on.
disclaimer: I don't like many bikes with rear squish (esp. under 5 inch) or gears. And this bike had a terrible wheel and tire setup, 28 hole bontragers and narrow low profile knob tires, can't remember but they were bonty tires also. Sketchy angles and sketchy/flexy wheels= no fun. Could be fun if you ride trails that are smooth?
As with most VPP/EPP bikes it climbed well...and slow.
Sorry Intense lovers, they make great bikes, just not this one.
I liked the way it rode. The climbing on this bike is among the very best 29er FS. The steep HA is something to question and dislike for me, but the climbing and overall handling (set up with 100mm and a tall HS race) was very good.
But, back on OP, it is not on sale, so...moot point.
Yeah, I can't decide what I'm going to do. Really, I've been looking at road bikes, but got that email from Jenson, and there we are.
I should just put the money away, but retail therapy and all...
