HT or FS for northeast xc racing?

Getting out of DH and looking to race xc on a 29r, but unsure whether to do so on a ht or FS. I need all the help I can get on the climbs, but can blow it out of the water on the decents. Should I go ht to help on the climbs? Racing DH has made me very proficient in technical terrain, so I can throw around a ht pretty well. Wouldn't mind hearing any input from those that race on both. Thanks.

Nevermind. I see a thread a few up from here that addresses it.

HT HT HT, plenty of suspension with a 29er HT, bouyant tires, 100mm shock etc, you'd be surprised and impressed ovwer how well it climbs and desends. Of course this depends on the frame design, geometry.
