Hope Pro 2 rear hub adjustment

    Hey all,

I just built up a new Hope Pro2 rear hub for my El Mariachi. Right out of the box there is play in the rear hub and it not being a cup and cone type hub I have no idea how to adjust the play out of it. Any ideas? I read Jerk Chicken's Hope Pro 2 rebuild post but couldn't come up with how to adjust the play. It is a brand new hub/new bearings. I have clamped the wheel in the frame, to "bed it all in" but it's still a little loose.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

    If the bearings

dont have inward pressure on them to tighten up the tolerances youll get play. There should be a procedure called out in the manual for preloading the bearings.

Pop the freehub off and the endcaps on both sides, the put it all together, the clamp into place.

Agreed. As long as the bearings are snug in the hub on both sides you should have no play. One of your bearings may need to be tapped in a bit.

Thanks for the answers. I'll give it a shot today.
