Intro: former rider getting back into it - a lot has changed since then. Looking at a full suspension 29er that's not too fancy. Currently I am looking at the YT Jeffsy AL base, which unfortunately was not redisgned like the carbon counterpart. I am also looking at the Commencal META TRAIL 29 Ride.

The Jeffsy has a shorter reach (460mm vs 475mm), and has similar HT angle (66.5/67 vs. 66.5), and a slacker ST angle (75/75.5 vs. 76.5) compared to the Commencal. The Jeffsy comes with a Fox 34 Rythm meanwhile the Commencal has a 35mm stanchion Revelation. Both bikes are Sram NX Eagle. I'm not too concerned about the supporting cast of parts.

Just wondering if I should go with the "older" version of the Jeffsy geometry or go with the new Commencal. Price difference is $400.00 CAD. Looking for any and all insights because I'm new to this. If you have any suggestions of other bikes that would be greaty appreciated too. Planning on pulling the trigger on a new ride in the next two weeks.
