Getting back in the woods with first 29er

Built up a pretty little 26er a few years ago. Rare 2010 Gary Fisher Big Sur frame with a heavy coil fork and some other decent junk. 1x9. Accelerated great but handled slow in the turns and jerky in technical sections. Granted a G2 geometry fork may have helped, but I had gotten into endurance riding in rocky, rooted New England terrain so I decided 29er was the only way to go.

    Parted out the Fisher:

    Built this:

On One Inbred 19.5" vertical dropout frame
    Manitou Tower Pro fork
Sun Ringle Black Flag Pro wheels
Geax Saguaro 2.2" tires running tubeless with stan's
Truvativ Stylo 1.1 GXP crank with Salsa SS 36T ring
    PG 990 Cassette 11-34T
    Bontrager Carbon Bar
    XTR shifter
    SLX Short Cage derailleur
    Cheap Avid Levers
    Heavy Time Atac Alium Pedals

Sorry for the pointless post, just excited to join the 29er riders.

Nice. I love the orange On-One frames. Nice how they keep the graphics to a minimum.

Nice, I have a very similar build including the orange 19.5 frame. I found putting a 180 front disk rotor helped the braking, reduced the lever effort.
I've had trouble with the Sun Ringle rear quick release coming loose in the dropout. Put an XT quick release on and do it up very tight and it seems OK now.
