    Gearing up a single speed

Here'e the thing, I live in a tiny Pacific island that has no bike shops (or much in the way of shops at all really) and rely on sites such as this for my advice (thanks guys!) etc and online shops for all my purchases.
Anyway.... I have a Kona Unit 2-9 (2007 model - the purple one) and want to convert it to a geared bike (just the rear at the moment i think). My question is, what deraileur hanger do I need to buy to make this possible. I have google searched heaps and am not getting anywhere with it. Have others done this and if so what did you use? WHere did you get it? Thanks

You need the derailleur dropout instead of the single speed dropout. Here is a list of Kona contacts for most of the world, choose the one best for you.

I had tried emailing a few of those contacts without any response yet. I remember reading somewhere that one of the geared model's dropouts would be suitable but I'll be stuffed if I can find that thread again. @FROZENSS I think that the 09 is different to the 07 but I could be wrong.

You can zoom both photos, hard to tell, but they look similar.

I'd send an email to [email protected]. When I had my Unit, that always got me an answer in a couple days.
