    Front Surly Tires

I've been seeing a lot of large tires on the front end of rigid 29er's. Most riders are putting Surly Endomorphs or Surly Larry 3.8 tires on a 26" rim as the front wheel. Guess it's a for shock absorption?

Anyone know the reason behind the bigger tire? Interested in trying it out.

Mostly for the floatation over snow and loose ground. If you check out the Fatbike forums, there are several half-fat bikes. I have a Pugsley and a 29er and they both feel great, so I would bet that half-fat is a good combo. Are you going to run the 100mm Surly fork or the 135mm Surly fork?
