Not to mess up picture Friday, which I love, but today is a very special day. I lost a friend, David Rice, 31 years old in Tower 2. I will never forget...my friends.

Foto friday...I got your foto friday right here...

We were 10 miles into our 10.4 mile sweet ride at Reforestation Camp in Suamico WI. Lots of tight and twisty single track. Anywho, was coming around a corner and just tapped (literally, just tapped) my shoulder on a tree coming around a tight corner. As my leg twisted and my foot came out of the pedal, the resulting happening. I could literally feel it snap and I am convinced it happened before I hit the ground. A quick tuck and roll later and I could see the patella was completely separated as the skin was making a 1" deep depression where my kneecap used to be.

Lucky we were close to the trail head. I was able to wrap my buddies belt around it and coast my bike to the service road where I was able to be picked up.

I will ride again another day...

Mines not as bad as yours. I only broke the top 1/2" off. I refused surgery 3 years ago when it happened. Doc said "fine...you'll be back". So far I have not, but it hurts more often these days.

What repair are you going to have done?
