    Flat Bar width

Looking for a good flat bar for my race bike but need one longer that the traditional ones out there that range from 560mm to 600mm_ just too tight even for my 26". Any suggestions? New to the 29er trend as well, looking forward to riding and racing more on the big wheels.

    Many thanks.

About the same as a fleegle, which I swapped to and have been extremely happy with.

Edge composites has a new 9 degree sweep bar that is 700 in length if you want to pony up the cash. Also Salsa has some wide bars with big sweep, and Truvativ noir wc is 640 i believe with 5 degree and is a little cheaper. Bontrager has a nice bar with big sweep too but i am not sure on the exact specs

    Niner Flat Top 9

710mm I think, I cut mine down to 700mm but I love it, makes a big difference to my riding and has a 9 degree sweep also.

Since everyone's at it, Easton EA50 680mm/9 degree sweep if you can find it. I picked one up late last year and when I recieved it, it was almost identical to the Niner flattop I also own, but only cost about1/3 price.

I'm running this bar and I'm a bigger rider. Its very stiff and I like the 12 degree sweep. Does have 10mm of rise tho so it's not exactly a flat bar.

    Vector 31.8 Carbon
    Clamp 31.8
    Width 680mm
    Sweep 8 or 12 degree
    Rise 10 degree
    Claimed weight is 189g ish...

I was leaving the parking area the other night and overheard a couple of road riders that were trying to ride mountain... one told the other to cut his bars off until he could just barely mount his shifter and brakes.... now that's pretty gay!

That depends on where you ride. On some of the trails around here it is a very tight fit with 660mm bars.

thanks guys, No specific material. Just had a hard time finding one that was longer than 580- Thats too compact for me. Im a little leary about carbon at 700cm but ive checked all these out online and will go from there.
    thanks

TiCycles on E-bay. I just got mine and it is perfect. 28'' wide, 14deg bend. Ti really takes the edge of small bumps. I wish I had a Ti frame...
