Dropper post specs for 2015 Specialized FSR Stumpjumper Comp 29er

I have the opportunity to buy my first FS bike, a 15' Stumpjumper. It doesn't have a dropper post on it and I can't find the specs to find out if it set up for an eternal or external dropper. Anyone know or happen to know where I can find specs for this bike?!

    Thanks!

You can probably look at stock photos to see. My 16 Stumpy had an internally routed dropper.

Oh wait I understand your question better. You want t to know if itís internal or not. The bike came with a non-dropper seat post instead of the Specialized Command Post so I would assume itís external. However, the S-Works model had internal routing so there is a chance the comp model could take internal routing too.

Aluminum is external only unless you drill a hole in the down tube.

IIRC the carbon frame could be routed since it is open mold.

Here is a picture of a modified 2015 frame. Obviously drilling voids any warranty and you risk scarring the paint if you are not very steady with your pilot hole and tapping for the hole.

I have the same bike. The shop where I bought the bike installed the internally routed post for me a year after I bought the bike. The cable is exposed on the down tube (. As are all the other cables), but they drilled a hole in the back bottom of the seat stay tube and ran the cable internally up to the post. I love the post and have had no problems with it. They charged me $35 C for the install.
