    Delgado Delay

    From the salsa website.

    FrostBike Funk

"It wasn't all good. Because FrostBike has gotten so big, we can't receive packages and some really key items have been delayed. We were expecting some more Delgado 29er Disc rims this week, but they were held in the rail yard in Washington state, so we won't be receiving them until the first week of March. Damn."

Hmmm, I bet that's down in Kent.

    Cheers!

I ordered Delgado 29'rs from speedgoat two days ago. Got an email saying it will be three weeks before the wheels are built up and ready to ship because of the delay with the Salsas.

Wow, that really blows. I actually bought a pair and had them built up. Unfortunately, DHL lost my rear wheel somewhere in transit from the builder. It's been a week and a half now and still no word. I hope the schmuck that ended up with my wheel enjoys it.

I really do anticipate liking the 29" wheels a fair bit over the 26er's. However, the lack of available parts is a real drag. Round 1 goes to the Johnny Rotten.

    Rant over.

Jake, please call David Meuller at Quality Bicycle Products. QBP had a wheel returned to them by DHL with no information. Just a wheel. Might be yours. 800.346.0004

    I don't know his extension.

Also, 36 hole rims will be on this shipment. It is due at QBP on March 1st.

My experience : whatever it is, if you want something out of your hands bad enough, it WILL be delayed. Want it badder, it WILL take even longer longer. Goes for everything bike just like for other things in live.

Big thanks to Jason @ Salsa

I don't want to hijack this thread any further but I did want to give some public props to Jason. Somehow, DHL mis-delivered a wheel to QBP and thanks to Jason's tip, I contacted them and found it was indeed MY missing wheel.

Thanks Jason! Cervesas on me if you're ever through Dallas.

    -Jake
