Can you recommend a hardtail? please!

Hey all,
Been watching the forums for a while, just haven't posted much. I am looking for a hard tail to add to the stable. I currently have a 08 HiFi 29er which I am happy with. I would like a hard tail to take more on casual rides with my buddies and climbing. I live in Boise and the foothills don't require a hard tail. I'm 6'3" and weigh 220-230 depending on time of year. I'd like a solid hard tail 29er with decent components. I'm not very familiar with "builds" so a complete package would be ideal. So far I've been looking at Fisher XCal and Specialized Stumpjumper 29er Comp, both are 2010 models. Any feedback would be appreciated. Riding is pretty conservative, no big drops/air. mostly singletrack. Thanks again everyone.

I think either bike would be great. i am a 260 clydesdale and i have an sworks 29er carbon hardtail and it is a GREAT. i love it and i do the same sort of riding you do too. The specialized is a great riding bike and I would highly suggest it.

Probably above your price range, but there are some great deals on last year's Superfly hardtails. ~$3000

I like the Stumpjumper because it can be converted into a singlespeed easily. But I like the geometery of the Fisher. I'd go for the Fisher.

This one has been enjoyable so far. Very responsive and smooth. 17.3" chain stays are sweet.

I have an '09 Stumpjumper HT and love it. It's a surprisingly smooth ride. I heard the 2010's are even better.
