    bomb proof wheelset help

getting a zaskar 9R pro which comes with XT hubs and Mavic TN719 rims, which Iv'e been told is heavy option. doing a 2300km mtb race across South Africa. need light reliable and bomb proof, with gear I should be 200-210 pounds across the worst terrain possible. tubeless is a must. been given the option of getting a pair of ztr flow rims with hope hubs.

My question is, is this just over kill or is there a quality advantage or semantics

Flow rims take a good old fashioned beating, I have them on both my 29ers.... Have one set up as a SS speed, but also have a geared wheel also...

One set is on CK hubs with Flow rims, the other set is I9 hubs and spokes on Flows, have thrashed both sets and they are going strong....

As Ozzy mentions, cant go wrong with Hope hubs if a no go on I9 or CK hubs....
