Looks real similar to the On One, but not identical. Just from a quick glance it looks like the area behind the headtube is different and the seat stays are different shapes towards the junction of the chainstays.

Anyway, cool looking frame. I don't know about the name (I keep thinking ASSMAN from Seinfeld), but if the price is in the sub $1,000 range, it should sell very well. It was only a matter of time before we started seeing these frames.

Here's a picture of the Renovo wood bike which has many guitar like (axe like) finishing/detail features. Then the Axmurder, errr I mean Axman 29er all built up. Both look like they have some swerve goin' on in their flowing lines.

Have one shipped your way and then have the finish bead-blasted off. Get that nude carbon look that everyone loves

Dang. I like the location of the Disc mount. And they make a cross frame that looks pretty sweet (matches my team colors perfectly).

Now, if I could only get my hands on one without having to buy 5

how come nobody is cranking out cheap knockoff wood frames? They got a lot of bamboo there it should be cheap and easy.
The secret to mountain biking is pretty simple. The slower you go the more likely it is you'll crash.

I am sure it is legit. As for weight, ride quality, who knows. Probably will ride real similar to the other carbon hardtails out there.

I haven't seen a lot of it on the mountain bike side, but there are a lot of no-name (or cool names like "Axman") chinese/taiwan carbon road frames on ebay and other sites. Check out roadbikereview.com in the frames section and there are many threads on the subject. I have even seen clubs special ordering these frames with custom names/graphics for their team. There was one that was even selling them to the public. The ones that really get me are those folks that buy the no-name frame and then put actual brand name decals on the frame - Pinarello, Specialized, etc. Most reviews are really positive about the quality of the frames.

I am sure we will see these or similar 29er carbon frames popping up on ebay pretty quickly.

Is that Axman frame looking like a tapered HT to you guys? The pic with the frame built up looks like it is using a tapered fork. That'd be awesome.

The spec. according to the link posted above says that it has a tapered steerer tube.

After doing a little poking around it appears that Leader and Ridley frames are made by Axman. I don't know if that is true or not and it may be just that the frames are made in the same factory.

Anyway, here is the mother of all threads for ebay carbon frames (no mention of Axman):

Those frames are beautiful. People immediately write them off, but the wood selection and the machining they do to make the frame is pretty high tech. they claim Carbon Fiber like performance, durability, etc ...

    Try this link

    http://www.axman.com.tw/product-deta...s_id=37&page=2

Axman is just a reseller middleman like so many other well known brands.

If you wanted to get to the real manufacturer you would need to dig a little deeper.

Someone find out how much they cost!

I see that Performance is coming out with a Carbon 29er soon. I might be interested in one of those if it has a good warranty and if I could put a Lefty on it and the graphics are not gay.

Having worked in the bike trade sourcing bikes and parts (including from Axeman) I will shed a little light here.

They produce some really nice carbon frames for various different "manufactureres" and their sister company (who's name I forget at 8am in the morning!) handles the aluminium frames and again builds for other "brands"

They generaly don't sell direct...unless you want 100 frames in your choice of colour / decals. So although it does not have a "big brand name" on it it is quite possibly built in the same place by the same people

    Hope this helps,

    They mention them here:

"We at the Performance Social Media team are going to be in attendance once again this year, as we line up to torture test our new Access 29er carbon hardtail frame (set to be released next year). The testing phase for these frames is intense and one of the main ways we like to stress test them is by racing them!"

have yet to see the geometry , but they look very similar to the on-one and also this one from Momsen design in south africa:
