Anyone installed a Sram xx crank with 37t in front?

Hi, I just order a Sram XX crank, it comes with a 42-28. I donít think I can move a 42 so I decided to see if anyone makes a smaller chaingring and there is a company that makes a them.

Have anyone use any of this chaingrings, I am looking at the 37t.

    Thank you.

What kind of riding are you doing that you wouldn't be able to move a 42?

Well i have a 36 chainring now and went going uphill sometimes I have to stand up to make it, I would think a 42 would make it a lot harder to climb. I mountain bike, not a great deal of climbs but I think a 36 is a perfect size for me, Sram XX does not come on 36, the smallest chainring I have seen that work on the Sram XX is the 37 by e-thirteen.

    2x

    FSA 2 x 9 conversion. 27/39 works great!

You lose the XX quick shifting capabilities when you switch to other chainrings.

In addition to that I convert to only one Chainring in front. I don't have a sifter or a front derailleur.

So, have anyone ever done this, install a smaller chaingring on the Sram XX Crank (smaller than 39)

    Aluminum 80bcd 4 Bolt Chainrings

I misunderstood your question above. If you are going to use just a single ring up from (e.g. 1x9 or 1x10) then you can purchase a ring from HBC install it on the inner side and call it day.
