    Mine are all in. Have the clearance for the tires I'm running, so why not run them short? Shorter chain too.

    Alternator dropouts -- in or out?

    Got nothing on the Salsa forum, so decided to try here. Those of you with El Mariachis who are running them geared, do you prefer the dropouts extended or inwards? Right now I'm running mine inwards to give the min chainstay length. Am curious whether there is any consensus on which way to go.

    I'll to buy a new chain and cut it to the precise length to make the test. Am just wanting to get some opinions before I decide whether to spend the money.
