I am 5'10'' and think it should be a rule that anyone over 5'9'' should ride a 29er... But that's me.....

I think early on such an issue was there... More modern designs have pretty much eliminated it...Even then, 5'10" was never a problem....maybe someone 5 feet tall might have a bit of a callenge

You can get special shoes and pedals to make a 29er work for shorter people.

It's a mass thing, not a height thing, it takes 9% longer from contact to highest point on contact with a rock / root , which means the peak force is less and you get to ride like someone who's 9% lighter atleast in this respect.

Wow. You must be a shorty freak. I mean, that is only the average height for a man in the US.

I'll bet your LBS told you that, and they don't sell 29ers. Am I right?

Height has nothing to do with it. Bruce Brown's wife is like 5'1" and rides one. If you like to role OVER things, get one. If running INTO things is your thing, stay with 26ers Don't be interested just because of height...

With 140mm Forks around 29ers are becoming bikes you can land jumps, wouldn't go to big though bigger wheels are likely weaker when it comes to that.
