    2012 Salsa 29er Info Live

My bad folks...we weren't suppose to have that info live yet...got a little hand slap from Salsa. Apparently they would like us to wait until after Eurobike. Sorry for the Bike Porn Tease.

Salsa just let me know we weren't suppose to release the 2012 info yet, so took it down from the site. They will have all the info available after Eurobike. Sorry for the Tease.

no, unless you really really want a green rear triangle, orange, black, or through axle.

Really? that is interesting, i just bought mine as well... seems stiff enough so far but when really pushing it there is some insonsistency from the back end, but that may just be the wheel build. A full Through Axle'd spearfish with some light stiff wheels would be a serious race combo.

Not sure if it relates, but the wheel on the Spearfish I rode at Demo Days last year was seriously under tensioned. It was a noticeable change when it was tuned up. Might check that.

142 x 12mm through-axle only on the top-end Spearfish 1 @ $3499 - the frame is more than the standard Orange and Green frames, but looks really good in anodized black. This one is a few months away tho... Would be a good trail weapon, if you aren't planning on catching a lot of air or blasting rock gardens going stoopid fast. Got in a good long ride on it at Deer Valley during Dealer Camp and it was pretty much tied with the Mach429 re-do as my favorite bike for the event.
