I have a 465mm a-to-c Carver carbon fork on my AIR9 and its been doing awesome on the road, on gravel, and on single track. I am using Avid Elixir 5's with Magura Storm 180mm rotors front and back. I have some 160mm Shimano rotors I could use but I don't have the right adapter for the front (stupid IS mount...). Anyways, today while riding the front started randomly creaking and getting really noisy even under light braking.

I watched the fork while I was braking and it looks like it moves back and forth a little bit. The fork has never been in a crash as far as I know and I don't see any blemishes in the carbon. I'd imagine that there would be a little play in the fork so maybe that explains why its moving a bit.

I'd imagine that its just the rotor or pads being noisy but I was wondering if its okay to use 180mm rotors with this fork. I know other forks like this are limited to 160mm...
