'16 Transition Smuggler vs '18 Banshee Prime??

Anyone out there ridden both bikes?

FYI - got my eye on both of these (used) & am weighing up the pros/cons at the moment.

I'm 181cm in height, 107kg's in my birthday suit w/ +5 ape index.

All Mountain riding is my forte i.e. blue to black... occasionally ride some double black stuff.

I ride fast & for fun. Like to get average air i.e. happy jumping 12-13 foot. Love riding techy, natural stuff.

Bike will likely do the odd Enduro event i.e. possibly EWS qualifier NB, I'm not looking to qualify just compete & have fun doing so.

    Pics of spec's attached...

NB, I'll take dialed geo over bling any day...

Banshee prime and halo wheels are bombproof.

Both have good spec, I prefer the Lyric setup on the Prime for the fork (may not have the shiny carbon wheels) but the prime's setup will suite your riding style very well.
    What's the price difference?

Id pick the Smuggler. Bombproof frame, rides killer, nice carbon wheelset.

Disclaimer: I ride a Banshee Phantom and love it, so I am kinda biased.

    Go Prime

About $500 of your US dollars (Prime = more expensive).

Did a little research on the carbon hoops (on Smuggler) & it looks like they're 2013 & kinda narrow i.e. 21mm ID category (or there a bouts).

If my coin comes in, I'll be going the Prime ;-)

    Good call on the Prime.
Those carbon wheels are outdated with the narrow widths (not to say that's bad, just out dated) so if you want to run wider rubber than 2.25" I'd go with Halo for sure! Well spent extra $ for the Prime. Might be more $ up front, but less to upgrade later.
