120mm fork on 100mm based frame?

looking for some feedback on a possibly running a 120mm fork on my diSSent SS, but the frame is designed around 100mm. I see a lot of deals on 120mm TA forks, Reba's and Minutes. I mainly trail ride with rough descents, small jumps and small drops.

I just helped a buddy swap his Reba fork on his Dissent from 100 to 115mm. It looked like it suited the bike well, don't know how it rode though.

Yep, I'm the one. It rides just fine, steering is not broken.
