    1 x10 Shimano anyone?

Curious is anyone out there running say an XX cassette (11-36) with a 30 or 32 up front using a Paul's adapter with a Dura ace 10 speed thumbie? If so what rear der? MRP chain guide? What are you running?

I have a frame to build and the customer wants to run a Dyna-Sys 1X10 setup on it. We may go for a XTR double crank so he has the option of a granny if he decides to do marathon races. Not sure what the BCD is on those cranks though, might have to make him a chainring.

I have fitted the Shimano XT 11-36 10 speed onto a couple of bikes & it works great why not go that way ?

Lots cheaper & still works great.
I have a 6 Berth & 2 Berth Motorhomes that I rent out . They are based in Tauranga, New Zealand

Just recently built a commuter for a fellow and set him up with a 1x10.

SLX 10-speed long cage derailuer. 32-tooth up front. N-Gear JumpStop as suicide protection. I ran a Paul Thumbie and 10-speed dura ace shifter. Indexing works fine. I would not recommend using friction shifting because it was very tough to find gears.

Personally, I think it is overkill. But you gotta make the customer happy.
