    WTB mismatch (Scraper/Trailblazer)

Hey folks - First post here just passing by to ask folks for advice on a tyre/wheel combo.

    I have a new WTB Scraper i45 27.5 rim and a WTB trailblazer TCS 27.5 2.8" Tyre.

The tyre is being extremely stubborn, beyond anything i've seen before which leads me to believe I may have a mismatch.

despite the specs checking out, I cannot for love nor money get the beading over the rim, and there's approx 20cm of tyre left..

Can anyone put me right on this combo choice?

    thanks in advance.

OK so upon advice from various quarters I got the tyre on by keeping it into the bead and after inflating 5 or 6 times with some soapy water it finally got into the bead shelves.

I have a set of WTB i29 rims (not Scrapers though), and they too can be tough to set a bead, regardless of tire brand/model. I inflate to 60 lbs with soapy water, then deflate back to 20.
You didn't quit riding because you're old, you're old because you quit riding.
