    Used 2018 Specialized Camber 650b

Looking through Craigslist today and saw a 2018Specialized Camber 650b (base with rear shock upgraded to Fox) for sale for950. The bike appears to be in decentshape, minus some scrapes and the seller claims it is in excellentcondition. Is 950 a good deal for thisbike? My plan is to meet the seller at abike shop so that a pro can inspect it for anything I'm missing prior to salesince I'm completely inexperienced with full suspension.

On another note, has anyone used the base model? All the reviews I've read are for the carbonor other top models. They have a fewcomplaints, but I think their issues are a little above my skill level. I'm planning to use the bike on SouthernCalifornia fire roads mostly. Mythoughts are that it is probably a good deal, and that the only thing the bikeneeds is a dropper post. Any thoughts?

If your just riding on fire roads I would just get a hardtail. Cheaper to purchase, cheaper to maintain, and lasts longer. Plus it pedals more effeciently. full sus isn't always an upgrade.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I have had two Cambers. A 2010 Comp and a 2016 Carbon Comp. The Camber is a really good trail bike, and pretty under rated and over shadowed by the Stumpjumper. I rode mine really hard and on lots of aggresive trails. Never had any issues with them, and they were really fun bikes. If it is in really good condition and you like the way it feels, do it.
