    Time for a new bike...help!!

I'm looking into getting back on the mtb game. It's been 10 years since I've had a bike (2009 Specialized Rockhopper pro comp 29er). I've been doing a little research on some bikes and narrowed it down to 3 that are in my price range. A new Specialized Fuse 27.5, Salsa Timberjack SLX 27.5, or the Cannondale Cujo 1. All feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! (Trying to stay under $1500)

Back in 2016, when I was looking at new bikes, I demo'd several high end 29ers and hated them. Got a Yeti SB5 (27.5). Last summer, I demo'd the new batch of 29ers and was blown away at the improvement! Pretty much blew my Yeti out of the water in even the low end builds. Ended up getting a Trance 29 Pro.
The 2020 Giant Stance 2 is a pretty fine looking bike, at $1550. I'd bet you could get a little off that price now.

Salsa Timberjack, Kona Honzo (if you want to consider a 29er), or the Diamondback Sync'r. I definitely recommend the Sync'r! If you consider the Sync'r, you get a lot of bike for what you spend. If you are eligible for a corporate discount, you can get it for $920-960.

Would I be getting the same quality of things on the bike if I went with the stance 2? Or would the suspension/drivetrain be better quality for the price of a hardtail?

The only thing I didn't like about the sync'r is the seat doesn't come stock with a dropper seat post but the forks and the drivetrain are comparable if not the same as the bikes I mentioned before
