Stumpjumper ST Alloy 27.5 vs Giant Stance 1 27.5

I'm looking to buy my first full suspension MTB. I'm coming from a cheap Hardtail (GT Agressor Pro) and I ride mostly blue flow/tech trails. I want this bike to be able to hold up to Black diamond tech trails. My main problem is with the stance I get rockshox front and rear and shimano brakes but with the Stumpjumper I get a better suspension design. What do you think.

go ride them and see---I have ridden the stumpy and found it to be fair uphill---needed the shock lever--and I bashed the pedals on lots of rocks that I do not hit on my Pivot 429---and that was on the Stumpy 29er---but there is no substitute for testing them. Perhaps the both bikes are not aimed at DH type trails--there are better tools for that

^ Test ride them! The Stumpjumper has more potential with holding up to rougher terrain than the Stance, based off the better frame design(geometry, upgradeability.) Realistically though, if you have a chance try the Marin Hawk Hill, great geometry/components/price.

I've never heard of marin so yeah. I just looked at it and based off the components I'd go with the marin. I'm gonna try to test ride it though. Thanks
