Scott scale 730 vs Trek Roscoe 8

    Hi there,

I am looking at upgrading my ancient giant 26inch hardtail after getting into riding a bit more.

Iím looking at either the Scott scale 730 2018 or the Trek Roscoe 8 but Iím having trouble decided/working out the big differences between them

Ultimatley Iíd love to get a dual sus but Iím currently building a house so my budget is limited at the moment.

    Any suggestions?

The forks on those bikes kind of suck. Look for a used 1k bike on pink bike and use the rest for any service work needed.

    Thanks for our reply.

Yeah I have tried pink bike, but in Australia there is hardly anything on it at all.

Also looking at saving a bit more and getting the Norco Fluid 7.2 HT Plus

My son has a Roscoe 8 and loves it. It represents an incredible value. As long as you aren't a Clyde the fork and brakes are sufficient until you have a little extra scratch to upgrade them.
    I wouldn't **** you, you're my favorite turd.

Just giving this a bump. Still trying to decide which was I want to go, have ridden both bikes and both are very similar. Just wondering if anyone has a scott scale 720 or 730 and what they think about them. Seems to be much harder finding any reviews on them.

    Cheers

I'm also concerned that the Roscoe's head tube angle is a bit too steep for trail?

Iíd at least get a model (of either brand) with an air fork. Personally I like Scott bikes a lil more than trek. Personal preference based only.
