Running a 135x9 QR rear wheel on a 142x12 TA frame?

Hi all. Looking into running a freewheel rear wheel on my 142x12 frame, because I want to eliminate the risk of braking the hub when using a high torque mid drive motor. So I've found a couple of wheels on eBay, and they're nothing compared to the rear wheel I have on now in terms of quality, but they're cheap, and I can replace if they brake. Does anyone know if this ever worked, running a 135 OLD 9mm QR through 142x12 dropouts? I have seen some conversion kits out there but not sure they were for this application. If such a conversion is possible, I guess I have to space out the disc rotor a few millimeters as well? Any advice is helpful!

No idea where to begin. This sounds like all kinds of a bad idea.

Haha, yeah I thought so myself, but I've found all kinds of adaptor kits for different wheels. People seem to be able to convert newer 135x10 hubs to 142x12, but not sure this older 135 hub will ever work. I have a few emails sent out to bike parts places and am waiting for replies.

So I've found this supplier, or suppliers actually(one in US, one in UK), of normal dropouts for 135mm hubs matching my frame, and they're bolt on. As soon as I've installed them I will update on how it all went, with disc alignment, pictures etc
