    Recommend a cheap, disc-only 26" frame that fits 650b

And works with a 445mm rigid fork.

Do some of the 26" Fisher hardtails fit this description?

    Define Cheap.

Sasla Ala Carte would pair up quite nicely with a 445mm fork

Not sure if that fits your "cheap" definition though.

Surly Troll is another one that might work well with that length of fork.

    Probably oodles of others too!

Yeah, for the price of an Ala Carte, I'd just get a Vaya or a Gunnar Fastlane, etc.

Hmm, I was thinking one of the newer Fisher or Treks with no-brake bridge might work.

I'd like to be able to run 700x42's on it as well.

I just saw that on another thread... although it's cool, it's not what I want.

I want to build a rigid 26" hardtail that will fit 700x40 (and possibly 650b) that would be more for street use (that will work with my 445mm rigid fork I have already).

Kind of like this, but with 700x42's or so...

(I copied this from another thread in the 650b forum (TimberWolf's bike))

You might be able to experiment cheaply with the Nashbar double butted MTB frame - sometimes sold for as cheap as 75 bucks.
