    Bueller?.....Bueller?.....
Lots of lookers, has Mavic lost its place in the wheel marketplace?

And while I'm at it, what about the Mercury X3 Enduros, anyone?

I just think they fell out of fashion on MTBR.

I've run their wheels in the past and have never had any problems. They do use proprietary spokes...so if you bust a spoke...you could he waiting if the shop you go to does not have it in stock.

Once word got out that Mavic won't support their stuff after like 3 years (or something like that) they got less popular. Here's my opinion:

    24 spokes - not enough
aluminum spokes - why? no benefit. They're not even a fun color.
    special spokes - not interested
radial ds lacing - you don't know what you're doing
Mavic freehub ratchet (pre id360) - no thanks
    Mavic rims - cool shape.

Their latest wheels are more traditional, which I think says something - steel j bend spokes, star ratchet, 3x lacing both sides.
