Nice. What derailleur is that and did you need to use a Road Link adapter to help with the 40t cassette?
Wait whuuut, who did he tell you that!?!?....

    XTR 952 drivetrain

The rear derailleur is an XTR M952. I'm waiting on a extra long B screw. It needs a tiny bit more clearance as-is. I'm using a Dura Ace 109mm bottom bracket for a better chain line. Works great.

Very nice build. I have a 952 im going to use also. The Sunrace cassette I'm going to use is on a '17 bike that I'm getting back soon. It worked great with the new style Deore 9spd derailleur with only a slight b screw adjustment. The WT Road Link is suppose to help the older style derailleurs.

    2000 Homegrown Factory 650b finished

Done. Drivetrain 1x9, 11-40t runs great with the Roadlink. The XTR M9000 levers installed on M9000 front and M960 rear calipers. Had to go flat bars because of the added height. Happy the 2.35 Ardent Race fit pretty well.

    Here's the spec:

    Red Dragon

It may be burried somewheres within but just picked up a mid 2000('05 ish)853 steel Jamis Dragon frame that fits my 650 wheel-set. Looks to be the identical frame as the Salsa Bizango I had the setup on years ago. Just have to decide wether gears or singlespeed now. Decisions decisions....

    Build pix to follow.

80s stumpjumpers work. I have mine set up as a 275x48mm and it's pretty dialed. Got Paul motolites and they have plenty of adjustability since this bike uses rim brakes.

Can a Fuji Nevada 1.9 26er be converted to 27.5 inch?

I recorded a video of my bike and if you forward to 0:33 you can see the distance between the tire and the back fork

    https://youtu.be/bQH_qwMg1cQ?t=33

^ Let me know what you guys think. Say a 27.5 wheel and a thinner tire which will automatically be shorter giving it much more room to fit? the tires on this bike is 26x2.1

    Would a 27.5 wheel fit with a 27.5 x 1.5" tire???

The reason I didn't want to put a 26 x 1.5 tire is it would look really stupid the wheel would just look way too small.

I had an idea of running a massive 26" x 2.5" hookwork maxxis tire though.

    26" 1x1 Surly Fork compatibility

I have been running 27.5" x 2.35" Kenda Nevegals in my 26" Surly 1x1 frame and fork for years now with great success. I recently decided to kick it up a notch to a 27.5 x 2.8 Minion DHF plus tires to get a little more cush.

The 2.8 fits comfortably with a lot of space in the fork. I think a 27.5x3 would fit in this fork. Pretty good for a 26" fork List of 27.5 Compatible 26ers-img_20180622_094313.jpg

I have a second one for the rear, but I think it will be a little tight. My Nevegal has slightly less than 1/2 in above the tire in the rear, and the 2.8 tire is about 7/16in taller (overall) than the Nevegal (28 3/16 vs 27.75). So my clearance would be ~1/4 inch or less, which is a little close for comfort. I live in a very dry area, so I may try it anyway (no mud build up to worry about), but will try the half plus configuration for starters.

Tried a search of the thread but came up blank...anyone run 27.5 on a Soma Analog?

Plenty of room up front in the Surly rigid fork. End use would be bikepacking and ripping around trails. Too many good parts and I like the ride, but after having a 29er, the 26 wheelsize has lost its luster for me.
